Hire a professional Home Inspector to examine your home before you put it on the market.  You will receive a detailed overview and can make any required repairs.  This will protect you and the buyer against any last-minute surprises that could hold up the sale of the property.

Be sure that you are up to date on the easy fixes:

  1. Clean air filters in the HVAC systems
  2. No pests on the property: termites, mice, wasps, etc.
  3. Free running drains, no leaky faucets, or toilets
  4. Working appliances
  5. Windows and screens in place and in working order
  6. Simple items such as replacing broken light switch plates or burned out lightbulbs can make a huge difference to a potential buyer.

Next week we will discuss setting the price for your home!
